Overview
Part of the leadership team, involved with planning, directing, and managing the Enterprise Applications team to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective enterprise systems, applications, integration, data management, and reporting solutions. Local to the Houston, TX area, willing to work onsite. Ellucian Banner experience REQUIRED.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to assess, prioritize, and manage needs regarding the ERP (Banner), CRM (Slate), and other administrative applications to ensure system investments meet business requirements.
- Manage implementation and integration of system and technology initiatives, in alignment with strategic and operational goals.
- Ensure that all stakeholders’ requirements are documented and captured to accurately account for feasibility, process work-flow, costs, and budgeting.
- Review and approve all systems development project requests, and coordinate schedules and related departmental activities.
- Provide overall direction and guidance to assigned project team members; supervise professional staff.
- Prepare activity and progress reports regarding all systems analysis and programming areas.
- Collaborate with other IT management staff regarding enterprise and system-wide computer architecture, capacity, planning, security and usage.
- Provide a significant level of input regarding hiring/termination decisions, performance management, salary increases and disciplinary actions and/or budget management.
- Provide input in the administration of related budgets.
- Responsible for establishing job standards for subordinate staff and effectively evaluating staff under charge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business-related discipline required.
- 7+ years of related work experience working with complex systems and procedures.
- Higher education industry experience (i.e. work experience at a university or college).
- Experience implementing and managing Ellucian Banner.
- Slate and/or Course Leaf preferred.
- People management experience.
- Experience implementing policies, procedures, and practices.
- Expert knowledge in multiple disciplines, keeping up with industry trends.
- Local to the Houston, TX area, willing to work onsite.
